using MigiHub's email and SMS features responsibly. They apply to all customers and users who send messages through MigiHub. They complement your contract, the Acceptable Use Policy, and local laws.<\/p>\n \n <h3>1) Purpose & scope<\/h3>\n <ul>\n <li>Ensure messages sent via MigiHub are lawful, respectful, and effective.<\/li>\n <li>Reduce deliverability risks and protect recipients from spam\/abuse.<\/li>\n <li>Apply to email, SMS\/MMS, in\u2011app\/browser notifications, and automated alerts configured by your tenant.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n \n <h3>2) Key definitions (plain English)<\/h3>\n <div class=\"definition-list\">\n <dl>\n <dt>Commercial Electronic Message (CEM)<\/dt>\n <dd>a message that markets, advertises, promotes, or solicits.<\/dd>\n \n <dt>Transactional\/Service message<\/dt>\n <dd>operational info related to an existing service (e.g., booking confirmations, schedule changes, security alerts).<\/dd>\n \n <dt>Consent<\/dt>\n <dd>permission to send messages. \"Express\" (opt\u2011in) or \"Implied\" (limited circumstances\/expiry under certain laws). Always keep records.<\/dd>\n \n <dt>Unsubscribe<\/dt>\n <dd>a no\u2011cost, simple method for a recipient to stop future messages.<\/dd>\n <\/dl>\n <\/div>\n \n <h3>3) Laws you must follow (overview)<\/h3>\n <ul>\n <li>Canada: CASL (anti\u2011spam) \u2014 strong consent, identification, and unsubscribe rules.<\/li>\n <li>United States: CAN\u2011SPAM (email), TCPA\/A2P rules for SMS \u2014 identification, opt\u2011out, and carrier program requirements.<\/li>\n <li>EU\/UK: ePrivacy + GDPR \u2014 prior consent for most marketing; lawful basis and rights handling.<\/li>\n <li>Other regions: apply local law; when in doubt, require express opt\u2011in and always include easy opt\u2011out.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n \n <h3>4) Consent standards (baseline)<\/h3>\n <ul>\n <li>Collect express consent for any marketing\/solicitation.
